Thanksgiving Break

I had a great thanksgiving! My husband and I went to Dallas, TX (my first time there) to spend the holiday with his family. I was so used to having Thanksgiving with my family, which is always a large gathering, and I wasn't sure how it would be with just 4 people total, but it was so wonderful. I had a hard time squeezing in studying for everything, but I got to study a little, I can not believe that there is only a week and 3 days untill finals start. WOW, it is ALMOST 2007.

School

Driving to school to find out the first class has been canceled, tests, having to make sure that all assignments are turned in on time. A lot comes along with going to school but I would rather stress out about passing a test or getting assignments turned in than stress out about wishing I was doing something. I am enjoying it, but man it can be stressful.

How can we get students to be more comfortable asking questions if they don't understand something? If we could allow time, after new material is introduced, for students to write down any questions they may have, but are not comfortable asking in front of the class do you think it would possibly help with some confusions and also eliminate the fear of being laughed at? Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Powerpoint Presentations

The first Project in Dr. Strange's class was the PowerPoint presentation. The presentations were great. There were a lot of presentations on cruises and seeing as how I have never been on a cruise and I want to, it only made me want to got even more.
One of the presenters mentioned that they got sea sick at first but it eventually went away. Another guy that went on a cruise told us about the Pee Pee Station in Cozumel, which was a souvenir shop.
